The child must

  • be a dependent child of the visa-holding parent
  • be sponsored by the nominator or sponsor of the visa-holding parent

Sponsorship requirements

  • The sponsor are responsible for the costs to the Australian Government of the child living in Australia
  • The sponsor must ensure the child complies with any visa conditions
  • If the child works in Australia, the sponsor must ensure the work complies with workplace legislation and awards
