  • If the applicant choose subclass 115,  the applicant must be outside Australia at time of application and at time of decision
  • If the applicant choose subclass 835,  the applicant must be in Australia at time of application and at time of decision

Sponsorship requirements

 

  • There is no fee to sponsor an applicant. But the sponsor have financial responsibilities.
  • The sponsor must be a settled Australian citizen, Permanent resident or Eligible New Zealand citizen
  • The sponsor must be a near relative of the main applicant
  • The sponsor must have turned 18 years of age
